Tuvimos la suerte de que a Denis le asignaron un trabajo en Arizona, un lindo cambio después de tantos años de ir a Hawaii!
Pensando veníamos a un pueblo chico nos encontramos con una ciudad de como 50.000 habitantes… Ciudad con una red de caminos tan bien diseñados que nunca te estancas en tràfico!!, que diferencia con respecto a casa California que, hoy en día, no importa a què hora uno sale a a calle… 99% seguro el tràfico es de terror…
Zona muy árida, a unos 5.000 pies de altura a nivel del mar, y areas hasta màs alto!
Lo que es cerros con mucho pino ponderosa y arbustos bajos típico de zona àrida; en los valles poco crece, màs bien un pasto natural, flores naturales y algún arbusto que otro.
Lo que se ve bien verde alrededor de las casas o las canchas golf, es todo mantenido a riego.
This year we are lucky that Denis has been assigned a job in Arizona! A nice change for going to Hawaii that much…
We thought we were coming to a small town but Prescott is a city of 50.000 people! Thou you never feel stack in traffic!, they have a very well designed net of highways, main avenues that traffic flow very nicely. California es terrible where we leave…, hardly ever there is no traffic…
This area is quite arid, specially towards the valleys, Prescott sits at around 5.000 feet, some hills are higher too.
Some mountains are covered on ponderosa pine trees, shrubs and flowers; towards the valleys hills are more open, with a natural grass, some shrubs but no many and the terrain is more colorful with typical dessert look.
What ever is green in the suburbs is due to irrigation!
Es una ciudad con mucho arte, estatuas de bronce por todos lados! Placas indicando lugares y/o edificios históricos del 1880.
Reclaman que tienen el Rodeo mas viejo del mundo!, haciendo el primero en 1888! Justo fue a fin de junio pero no conseguimos entrada para ir.
El puente es de una de las lineas ferroviarias del 1880, estas lineas cerraron en 1984.
It is a city of art and famous old bars! There are bronze statues and plaques throughout the city pointing to the history of the town with some building dating from the 1880s.
A nice main plaza with beautiful trees and the city hall in the middle!
They called themselves to have the oldest rodeo in the world!, was run on the last weekend of June but we misted because tickets were sold out a week before the show…
This bridge is from the 1880s when they built a couple of railways to connect with the north and the south. Everything stopped in 1984.
Cuando buscaba casa nos tendiò las ganas màs para zona con àrboles, terminamos en un barrio, en un cerro tapado de pinos ponderosa con las casas entre mezcladas entre estos, arbustos y bastante juntas, pero casi ni te ves con los vecinos!
La casa con ambientes amplios y una chimenea tipo campo!, nieva en el invierno.
When I was looking for a house to stay, we were drown to the hills!, with trees! So we chose a suburb among ponderosa pine trees!
The house has big rooms and a lovely chimney! It snows in winter!
Hay dos diques aqui no màs, y algún otro màs a las afueras; el agua algo estancada asi que no se cuanto para nadar… canoa, pesca y senderos para caminar o bici, por todos lados. Ya paseamos por los dos!
Festejamos el 4 de Julio con el pueblo, bah, los festejos eran desde las 3 de la tarde, nosotros fuimos a las 7 como para ver un poco y que no se hiciera muy larga la espera de los fuegos artificiales.
Nos acompaño una luna semi redondilla, divina!!
El domingo fuimos a un paradero en uno de los cerros màs altos, con vista al oeste a ver la puesta del sol!, pero!, como estábamos en la punta!, veìamos el este y vimos salir la luna llena!! “Redondo de programa!!”
There are 2 dams close to town and a few others in the area. When we visited them, the waters were quite still no inviting at all to jump for a swim…! There were people in canoas, boats and fishing thou. Lots of hiking trails too!
We celebrated 4th of July with everyone else at the main event! Thou the celebration started at 3 pm we didn’t go until 7, enough time to walk around, look and wait for the 9pm fire works! The gorgeous just about to be full, moon!, showed it face at the right time!!
On Sunday we went to Sunset Lookout to see the sun set and the full moon raised! Nearly 360 degree of gorgeous views all around us!!

Estamos en un paraíso de senderos para bicicleta de montaña!! Impresionante la cantidad, variedad y a cuàl màs lindo!!
Las bicicletas eléctricas no estan permitidas en estos senderos!!
Ahora disfruto muchas salidas con Denis!!
Prescott is a mega pace for mountain biking! The trail net is huge and with a great variety of difficulty or not. The beauty of this place is amazing!!
No e-bikes in the forest!!!
Now days I enjoy our bike outings with Denis!!!
